Get Busy With Your Bucket List!

It’s easy to get caught up in the a flurry of day-to-day activities and forget what you really want from life. A “bucket list” is often a set of goals and dreams we want to achieve in our lifetime, and can be a great reminder of what’s really important to us.

Sit down and think of all the things you want to do, see, feel, and experience. Keep going until you have a significant number of items on your list. Don’t limit yourself with obstacles such as time or money. Let yourself go – what would you do with unlimited resources? What have you always wanted to do but not yet done? They can be “big,” such as traveling around the world or running a marathon, or “small,” such as watching a sunrise or seeing a favorite band play live.

Once you have your list, start ticking off the goals you achieve and add any new ones that come to mind. Writing a bucket list should encourage you to live life to the fullest and look forward to days ahead with renewed enthusiasm and commitment.

As some of you know, in the past decade I’ve become passionate about all things motorcycles. From the street, to the track, to off-roading, I’ve attended 18 different schools and ride between 35-40,000 miles each year on several bikes.

This past month, I attended both the CA Superbike School at Barber Motorsports Park (near Birmingham) with both my son, Justus (18) and daughter, Grayson (20).

I also rode over 5,000 miles from Atlanta to Las Vegas, off-roading through the Utah Backcountry Discovery Routes (BDR), and back with several great men.

The Zion and Arches National Parks were simply awe inspiring and on my bucket list. Later this summer, I’m riding through five European countries over 12 days.

As someone once told me, “there are seven days in a week, and someday isn’t one of them.” Get busy living!
